Chalet La Trafolée, located at an altitude of 1500m in Manigod in the Aravis mountains, is a 4-star, self-contained chalet for 8 adults. This authentic, comfortable chalet is available to rent by the week in its entirety.
Ideal for an active vacation or to recharge your batteries, enjoy this unique location with its incredible views of the Etale and Charvin mountains, whether as a couple, a family or with friends.
In winter, you’re on the slopes of Manigod and La Clusaz. Ski, snowboard or snowshoe straight from the chalet, or go cross-country skiing 3.5km away on the magnificent Plateau de Beauregard.
In summer, you’re in the heart of the mountain pastures, lulled by the tinkling bells of the family’s Abondance cows. They graze peacefully, resting and waiting to give milk for the farm’s reblochon cheese. Embark on a trail ride, hike, or mountain bike journey either directly from the chalet or towards the nearby mountains of Manigod, La Clusaz, or Le Grand Bornand.
After the effort, enjoy the supervised swimming pool at the Merdassier resort, just 200m from the chalet, open in July and August.
The chalet is isolated in winter, but you’re only 80m from a ski lift, and 200m from the heart of the Manigod resort (Merdassier side), where restaurants, a supermarket, a bakery and an ATM await you.
A 20-year renovation of this family-run alpine chalet has just come to an end, so discover this ancestral place with its cosy interior, which awaits its first guests from January 2024.

Chalet La Trafolée is not accessible by car during the winter; it is a 5-minute walk from the parking lot of the Manigod Merdassier resort. Access is provided with snowshoes, supplied at your arrival in the parking area. We handle the transportation of your luggage and skis from the resort parking to the chalet.
The chalet is accessible by car, with the last 400 meters being an unpaved but drivable road.
